Finasteride
Finasteride is a hair loss treatment for men that is sold under the brand names Propecia and Proscar. These products have been shown to be effective hair loss treatments. In fact, there was a 5-year study which showed that that 48% of finasteride users were able to regrow some of their hair, while 42% said they didn’t experience any additional hair loss.
Finasteride is a powerful chemical. You must have a prescription from a doctor if you want to purchase a finasteride product. Please note that this chemical is dangerous for women to use. In fact, women aren’t even supposed to touch it.
Finasteride is more expensive than minoxidil products like Provillus. Also, there can be negative side effects associated with finasteride, including sexual side effects such as impotence. Most alarming are reports from some men who continue to deal with impotency problems long after discontinuing use of the finasteride product.
